Dr Sameh A. El-Kawy started at South Warwickshire University Hospital in 2007 working as lower limb-consultant Surgeon specializing in sports and joint preservation surgery for both knee, Foot & Ankle (adolescent and Adults).
Dr El – Kawy is world expert in all aspects of knee surgery including knee replacements (partial , total ) and all complex sports injuries of the knee including cruciate ligaments reconstruction ( primary and revision) , cartilage defects, knee cap problems in children and adults . He is international expert on all aspects of ankle sports injuries and its surgery.
Dr El-Kawy Studied Medicine at the prestigious Ain ShamsUniversity, Cairo where he graduated in 1991, He did his residency program in trauma and orthopedics at the same university hospital in Cairo, then completed his training in Birmingham and London and became a fully qualified consultant orthopedic surgeon in the UK in January 2006.

Following his training, He has undertaken a kneereconstruction fellowship in London and also travellingfellowships in Amsterdam, Switzerland and France to learnthe latest techniques in knee and ankle sports surgery fromsome of the world’s leading experts in their fields, such asProfessor N Van Dijik of Amsterdam, Dr Pascal Rippstein ofZurich and Professor P Neyret of Lyon
Mr. El-Kawy is heavily involved in training, and teaching regularly on national and international courses for knee surgery. He is a consultant trainer for the UK national training program for orthopedic surgery anda tutor for medical students from Warwick University, England, which is in the Russell group including the top 24 universities in UK.
