- W inner of UK Alumni Award , British Council 2018, Gold Medal from Geneva inventions 2014 & 2016, Hap Paul Award from ISTA 2010 and few other awards from US, China, Egypt & Japan .

- Complex knee arthroplasty e.g. ( severe intra - & extra articular deformities , Polio, fused knee)

- Hip Arthroplasty:
- Primary hemi & total hip arthroplasty (THA): Cemented, hybrid and uncemented
- Complex THA e.g. paediatric hip diseases, dysplasia, fractures & conversion fused hip to THA
- Revision THA using modular stem & custom made cups & Augments.

- Prof. Hafez is famous for performing bilateral knee replacement for complex cases of knee osteoarthritis . He operated on patient s from 34 countries and invited to do live surgery (TKR by PSI) in 10 countries
